As long and hard as I think about it, I simply cannot work out just what this object is. It is a piece of 10mm. plywood with a steel spring screwed to it. That's all the clues there are! It's not a letter rack and definitely not a 'Slinky' either - it's a thick, powerful spring. Vexed. Any ideas? More puzzling
