water fiber inside a capillary... My idea is to make a music string with a multi-filament carbon fiber core for the purpose of containing water in this way. If it can be shown to be true by practical experiment (currently in progress) that water strings indeed can be thus supported, then it is my belief that these strings will behave as light-conducting fiber-optics. The environment inside a music string of this type might be ideal for the controlled production of sonoluminescence.
collapsing bubbles inside a water fiber... Here is an artist's impression of a short section of one such "water fiber" with chained synchronous sonoluminescence bubble collapse events occurring throughout its length. If it were possible to controllably achieve this, then there would be maybe a chance that these events could inter-react.
