String tension as established at assembly is uncritical; it will be impossible to break the speaking length by hand tensioning alone. Burn out of string speaking length although inevitable can be delayed by judicious use of tension adjustment via Pin (14) and tuning by rotation of coil formers (10).

(10,5)

The entire range of string harmonics available within the system may easily be swept through in one movement by manual adjustment of parts (10,5): (and step-detented revolution of these parts produces more rattle). Pin 14 allows for finer adjustment of resonance beyond this coarse setting and for matching by eye and hand of any observed coincident phase saturation. It is envisaged that rotor speeds of 100,000+ rpm will be easily achievable. The 3:4 ratio of rotor to stator provides the simplest and optimum lowest common denominator configuration.
